Lightbulb Raise prices for Guild Stuff

Everyday i see the messages all around GW (Mostly LA, Kamadan, Kaineg) , but that's not so important, new guild recruiting, newly formed, just tons of new guilds everyday

I remember the old days when like a Sigil costed around 100k , and it was pretty ''Leet'' to have a Guild Hall, just a guild in generality

My suggestion is that prices for all guild stuff will be raised.

Just to take an example:

Forming a guild : 5k.
Making a cape : 10k.
Getting a Guild Hall : 50k.

This is just an example, it could be more, could be less, discuss.

The prices needs to stick like this and not move up and down!

There are way to many Guilds in Guild Wars ...

Uh.. Guild wars. That's the focus of this game. It's as if people are making up new ideas for changes just for the sake of it, without putting any logic into their thoughts. Next you'll be saying you want loot scaling to be even more harsh and elite armours up to 50k per piece.

/notsigned if you hadn't guessed.

Most guilds are non-factor.

If you want a serious guild, join one with proven track record.

There's nothing funnier than seeing: "First 3 who join are officers". These guilds don't last a week.

Yeah if they did this, they would have to stop having sigils drop in HA or else the rich would just get richer. The in-game economy is messed up enough and this idea wouldn't help any.

Is Sardelac the place where people come to complain? Cause I thought it was for ideas. Maybe I'm wrong.

the idea now is if you want to be a "leet" guild as you say, you can buy all the upgrades for your guild hall, which are not cheap.

Guilds where never "leet" even when stuff cost 100k+ because people who farmed/e-bayed for gold could have a hall too. Supply and demand controls sigil prices and that is fine.
While I agree with you in principle that many 2 person guilds exist, guilds in general can be expensive if you buy all the hall upgrades.

Why to?
I bet you can't answer me without using reasons like: "To make guilds harder to get" or "To make having a guild more 'prestigious'".

I would only go to make guilds require at least Two members, so there can be no 'one-man-guilds'. Like making a timer. No one joins in week when there is only one member left, the guild is disbanded (Maybe more if all NPCs are bought).

Other than than, I see no reason to make any other change in the way of getting them.

People have the freedom to create their own Guild if they want. Them having a small guild doesn't affect other players in any way.

The problem is every single noob wants to make their own guild thinking that they're so awesome and are guaranteed success.

Obviously not the case, doesn't affect me at all, so I don't really care.

No way. Why should new people interested in making a guild for the hell of it and to understand the way it works be discouraged from doing it because the cost of it is too high.

Would you think it's right if you had to pay the difference before a certain time to keep your GH, capes, and GH? 50k for a GH instead of a sigil? Your idea isn't fair.

I have a two-man guild and my hubby is the other member. It stops us from getting pestered to join guilds, we don't bother with a guild hall anyway, but I don't see why we should be be penalised for not wanting to get pestered whenever we're in towns.

And yes, pester can be the operative word.
